Original works of art, cocktails, canapes and live music are all in an evening’s entertainment at Saturday’s Moving Art for ARK fundraiser.
Held at a private home in Crystal Harbour, the focus of the evening is an art auction.
Moving Art was formed a few years back by a group of artists who believed in giving back to the community in which they live, says ARK’s Sharon Galloway.
They came up with the concept of Moving Art, teaming up with a charity they believe in.
Local artists Avril Ward, Sue Howe and Renata Seffer have created more than 20 pieces of art work, which will be sold and auctioned during the course of the night.
This is the second time ARK has been the beneficiary of the event.
It is one of ARK’s biggest fundraisers and money raised at the event will enable to charity to continue its projects, ensuring that the poorest families in Cayman have food on the table and a roof over their heads.
Those attending the soiree will be greeted with complimentary cocktails and canapes from 7pm, with a cellist playing live in the background. Guests will have plenty of time to peruse the works of art for sale, all of which were painted specially for the event.
“There is a 20 per cent discount to those who buy on the night and 30 per cent will go to Cayman’s ARK. The artists have each offered one piece which will auctioned on the night and we intend these to be the most popular pieces!” Sharon says.
There will be a cash bar and live music courtesy of Kool Skool and The Cayman Swing Kings, and the evening will wrap up with a DJ and dancing.
Funds will also be raised through ticket sales, and the cost of tickets is $100. To book your ticket or to find out more please e-mail [email protected]
