Man stabbed at beach

Update, 12:40pm: Police have confirmed that the 20-year-old man wounded on Coe Wood Beach Saturday was stabbed during a fight. According to police, the victim was taken to hospital by a motorist, rather than by ambulance. He had been attending Saturday’s White Tip Run jet ski race at Coe Wood Beach. He remained in stable condition Monday afternoon. Police said they had spoken to the victim but no suspect had been identified at this stage.


Police are investigating the stabbing of a 20-year-old man at Coe Wood Beach in Bodden Town over the weekend.

The victim was in serious, but stable condition at the Cayman Islands Hospital Monday morning after being stabbed in the chest around 7pm Saturday, 16 February.
Staff at the hospital alerted police to the attack.

Bodden Town CID are investigating the incident and are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and who may have witnessed it to contact them at 947-2220. Witnesses can also call the RCIPS tip-line on 345-949-7777 or Crime Stoppers on 800-8477(TIPS)

    I mean, isn’t this why we ban guns?

  2. This type of crime should carrying the same penalty as a crime committed using a gun. Being the victim of a brutal knife attack can actually be worse than being shot. The scars run deep, not just physically, and deeply disfigure.
