Damian Marley set for Grand Cayman concert appearance

Double Grammy-winning artist Damian Marley is set to perform live at the Festival Green in Camana Bay.

Mr. Marley heads a bill of local artists at the Spring Fest concert, which is scheduled to take place on Friday, 1 March, in Grand Cayman.

The concert is promoted by YoungBlood Productions, Jean-Eric Smith said.
“[We] want to bring some unity in the community, before the upcoming 2013 Elections; music is love,” Mr. Smith said.

“The concert will give the entire Cayman Islands community – locals, expats and tourists alike – time to come together for one night and enjoy our island united under the stars, regardless of nationality or political affiliation.”

Local artists set to play include Mr. Notch, Stuart Wilson, Rennie Conolly and Local Motion 345.

Hugely successful in his own right, Damian Marley was born in 1978 and is the son of reggae legend Bob Marley.
