Eleven more dive instructors have completed a special development course at a local dive operation.
Spilios Kordos of Go Pro Divers said that there was a 100 per cent pass rate for the instructor development class, which ran from 11 to 20 February. He said that employment had already been found for all students here in the Cayman Islands.
“Basically, the instructor development class is training where we teach students how to use the PADI system to teach in scuba classes, pool, and open water. Thanks to the convenient PADI e-learning, they are able to study whenever they want on this online course to be ready for the internship,” he told the Compass.
“During the instructor development class, we review several topics related to the written exams taken during the instructor examination,” he added. “E-learning is enjoyable and very helpful. During the instructor development class, we also teach the emergency first responders instructors course. As an added bonus, we include the PADI O2 speciality.”
The courses took place at Treasure Island on West Bay Road.
