The five-a-side football league at King’s Sports Centre was another eventful one last week.
In the social division, No XQ’s beat Doghouse Devils I, 4-2, thanks to a brace each by Jowo Firstbrook and Colin McCabe. Richard Reading and Martin Cooke hit the Doghouse goals.
Cayman Free Press Buzz Crusaders kept their unbeaten run going in Division One, beating West Star, 7-4. Kyle Santamaria got a hat trick for Buzz and the other strikes came from Davey McLaughlin, captain Kris Pearson, Bobby Hydes and Jason Hydes.
West Star scorers were Justin Pierre, Nino Dilbert, Cesar Watson and Andre Myers.
In the battle of the KPMG teams in the social division, it was the second side who proved their superiority, big time. They won 9-1 thanks to a hat trick by Oliver Brian, Marvin Gordon (2), Adam Taylor (2), Fabio Smith and Adam Taylor. Chris Palmer got KPMG 1’s consolation strike.
CML were 5-2 victors over Doghouse Devils II in the social league. Daniel Cummings (2), Steve McIntosh, Kevin O’Brien and Richard Goulden got the CML goals and Rob Patraulea hit both for Doghouse.
