Two sent to hospital after BT wreck

 Two people were injured and taken to the hospital Sunday night after the vehicles they were driving in opposite directions collided in the district of Bodden Town, police said Monday morning.

One of the drivers, a 50-year-old male, remains under observation at Cayman Islands Hospital in George Town, police said. His injuries are considered to be serious, but not critical, according to a news release issued by the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service.

The other driver, a 49-year-old woman, has been treated and released, authorities said.

The accident occurred about 7.15pm in the vicinity of the Bodden Town Post Office, police said. Traffic through the district was briefly diverted Sunday night via Anton Bodden Drive.
