Transformers create own Buzz

In the five-a-side football league at the King’s Sports Centre, the Division 1 knockout rounds have begun.  

The first match was league winners CFP Buzz Crusaders against third place Transformers. Transformers defended well and the Buzz’s top striker, Kyle Santamaria, could not find a way through.  

This match went into over time after ending regular time tied 1-1. Dominic Pearson scored from a penalty for Transformers and Raph Harvey equalised for Buzz. Transformers scored the winner through Chris Douglas in extra time. 

Esso Tigers faced West Star in the other knockout game. West Star came out victorious, 11-1. Esso Tigers started strongly, but fatigue set in by halftime and the score moved from 1-1 to 11-1. 

In the social league, Ernst & Young beat No XQ’s, 11-2. Ernst & Young scorers were Chris Douglas (4), Matt Chin (2), Dan Bryer (2), Indy Sangha, Jon Japal and Matt Coeling. Jowo Firstbook got both No XQ’s goals.  

KPMG beat Dog House II, 5-2, and KPMG II beat Dog House, 4-3. CML thrashed PwC, 8-0. 

Kings Sports Centre Youth Roller Hockey League has started back. After a three week Saturday break, all the kids came back energised and ready to play some roller hockey.
