Pines names interim manager

The Pines have confirmed that they have terminated the employment of their manager for financial irregularity. KPMG are undertaking a forensic audit of the accounts and a report is being prepared for the authorities. Maples and Calder are assisting in the recovery of the missing funds.

The sums involved do not affect the operation of The Pines and the directors are confident that The Pines will recover the losses that have been identified.

Lynda Mitchell is assuming the role of interim manager. Lynda has a wealth of experience in managing residential programs and holds an MBA in global management. Lynda has worked in the Cayman Islands for over 12 years and is well known within the community and government.

The Pines remain committed to providing the best possible care for the elderly and look forward to the continued support of the local community.

Further information will be provided as recovery efforts progress.

  1. Are charges expected to be filed against the former manager?
This is not to be mean rather to start teaching the public about consequences.
I support consequences for all those caught stealing that includes Gas-gate.
