Seven Mile Beach rated one of Caribbean’s best

The iconic Seven Mile Beach in Grand Cayman has been pegged by industry magazine Travel Agent Central as one of the top 10 in the Caribbean.

The magazine said it may be the best beach for clients who wanted “a little more action to go with their beach experience”.

“Besides swimming in the clear blue water, where spotting a friendly stingray is as common as finding a sea shell, this stretch of heaven comes with an array of beach bars, restaurants and shops,” read the article, which was published in the May edition.

“For the best snorkelling and diving on Seven Mile Beach, we recommend the Cemetery Reef. One caveat: The beach can get rather crowded at any given time, since this is a popular spot for cruise passengers. On the plus side, clients will only have to endure that for an hour or so.”

The Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort & Spa’s recent revamp was also praised along with the cuisine of Casa Havana, while the magazine advised that for “clients looking for some classic elegance”, The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman was the ideal destination.

In the overall list, Seven Mile Beach was rated No. 2 by Travel Agent Central, with Grace Bay Beach in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos their top selection.
