Opera and grub lovers need to get down to Luca on Thursday, 23 May, for the latest instalment of the popular “Music on the Menu” series.
This time around, soprano Georgina Gatto will be performing along with Glen Inanga, the renowned pianist.
Georgina tells us that she is looking forward to the performance.
“The programme was chosen to cover a variety of music, cultures and languages,” she says. “The pieces are passionate, expressive, entertaining and highly accessible and are from all over the world. The programme consists of opera, operetta and Broadway and includes Puccini’s O Mio Babbino cCro, Gounod’s The Jewel Song, Lara’s Granada, and I Could Have Danced All Night from My Fair Lady to name a few.
“The atmosphere is relaxed and intimate. Ideally, the night is one of musical inspiration and joy,” Georgina rightly notes.
Indeed, the event is titled, “Operatic Inspirations” and as ever is in aid of a great cause, Cayman Youth Choir.
The evening starts at 6.30pm with cocktails and canapes, followed by a performance at 7.30pm and then a three-course meal. Yum! Tickets are $100.
