Dart Ducks worked hard to ensure they will fly again

The Dart Ducks is representing the Cayman Islands in a roller hockey tournament this weekend in Fort Meyers, Florida.

There will be two teams suiting up, in the Under-8 and U-10, ready to defend their titles.

Most kids are departing on the first Cayman Airway flight to Tampa on Friday morning as their first games are on Saturday.

It’s going to be a tough competition as the teams of Southern Florida are determined to beat the strong, visiting Cayman Islands teams and gain back their title.

The little champs have been practicing for this tournament two nights a week for the last four months so are well prepared.

The Dart Ducks have also been invited to play in the North American Roller Hockey Championships, in Toronto from 12-15 July.

Both teams are training hard for this and really excited to be representing the Cayman Islands in such a respected international tournament.

It just goes to show how plenty of training and dedication can pay off even for such young athletes.
