ESSO duo’s tons smoke Brac

There were two impressive centuries scored in local cricket over the weekend.  

Darren Cato 142not out and Ramon Sealy 120 combined to produce ESSO Cubs’ massive total of 385 for 6 against Cayman Brac in the Brac.  

There was no stopping ESSO Cubs as they rolled over Cayman Brac by 276 runs. Young Caymanian batsmen Cato and Sealy aided by another local youngster Omar Willis 37 provided an entertaining batting display studded with sixes and fours.  

Paramount defeated UCCI/West Bay by 23 runs in a low scoring match. After scoring 137 with Dervan Campbell 64, Paramount bowlers Michael Reid took 5 wickets and Carlton West 3 wickets took their team to victory. 

In another low scoring match, By Rite defeated Prison by 1 wicket to stay in the race for championship honours. Limiting Prison to 128 for 9 with evergreen Steve Gordon 38 and Oscar Owen 28.  

By Rite struggled against the excellent bowling of Kevin Bazil 4 for 31 and Kervin Ebanks 4 for 36 but had enough to snatch victory. Captain Conroy Wright 38 and season batting sensation Troy Taylor 22 were By Rite main contributors.
