The rather persistent rain has led to a few event cancellations. Here’s a list of the ones we’ve been informed of so far:
Garage Sale postponed
The planned DMS Gives Back Garage Sale which was set to take place on Saturday, 1 June has been postponed due to the inclement weather expected to continue into the weekend.
“The DMS Gives Back Committee apologizes for any inconvenience this may have caused,” said Erin Bodden. “We hope you will join us for the rescheduling on Saturday, 8 June at Kirk Market from 6am – 9am. Stay dry and safe this weekend!”
Proceeds from the sale will go to the Cayman Islands Humane Society.
The Cayman Nite event mooted to take place Friday in Harbour Drive which was to feature local bands, food and entertainment from 5pm has been postponed due to the weather. The next event is scheduled for Friday, 28 June.
GT Fish Fry
The St. George’s Anglican Church fish fry scheduled for this coming Saturday has been postponed until Saturday, 8 June.
The Masterpiece Workshop, facilitated by local artist John Broad, which was originally scheduled to take place on Saturday, 1 June from 10am to 1pm, has been postponed until next week. The time will remain but the location will change to the VAS exhibition space opposite Bedside Manor.
Live on The Paseo
Friday’s Live on The Paseo performance has been cancelled due to the inclement weather. Join Camana Bay next Friday for a special “First Friday” Live on The Paseo event featuring local musical groups Inverse and Red White & Blues.
Saturday’s Imagination Playground is cancelled due to the inclement weather. Imagination Playground will be back on The Crescent on Wednesday 5 June, 10am-8pm and is free for all to enjoy.
SOY Football Extravaganza
The Save Our Youth Football Extravaganza scheduled for 10am to 6pm on Saturday, 1 June, at The Annex field at School Road and Gresscott Lane, George Town, has been postponed due to the inclement weather. The event will be rescheduled to a later date. For more information, email [email protected]
