A woman who was critically injured in a hit-and-run accident along the George Town waterfront last week has been airlifted off Island for medical care.
The 28-year-old woman remained in critical condition when she was flown to the US Thursday, according to the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service.
Officers said that around 8.20pm Monday, 1 July, the victim was struck while walking along North Church Street near Cash Wiz.
A man was arrested after the crash and police said he has since been released on bail.
The vehicle involved in the accident was seized by officers.
