Man robbed in Prospect

A 60-year-old man was robbed of a gold neck chain as he returned to his home on Mahogany Way, shortly before 10pm Thursday.

The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service said as the victim approached his front door, his gold chain was grabbed from behind and he fell to the ground.

Two suspects then ran off from the scene. No other property was stolen, police said.

The suspects are described as:

Male, 25 to 30 years with what is said to be a “whiteish” complexion, 5 feet, 6 inches to 5 feet, 8 inches in height, and weighing 145 to 160 pounds. He had a shirt tied around his head and was in possession of what appeared to be a handgun.

Male, 25 to 30 years with what is said to be a “whiteish” complexion, 6 feet to 6 feet, 2 inches in height. He was also wearing a shirt tied around his head and was in possession of a machete.
