The Cayman Heart Fund’s David Dinner, Shirley Cridland, Dr. Sook Yin, Suzy Soto and Sue Rajah bid farewell to the fund’s patron, Cayman Islands Governor Duncan Taylor during a short presentation Friday.
At the governor’s residence on West Bay Road, the group presented him and his wife, Marie-Beatrice, with a plaque thanking them for their services and contributions.
Governor Taylor expressed gratitude, saying, “I think it is very important for people to look after their health. Being patron of the Cayman Islands Heart Fund, I hope I have helped to encourage people to made some efforts to look after their health with a combination of exercise, being careful about their diets and eating the right kinds of foods, so they can live a healthier and happier life.
“It allows you to do more, be more active and get out and about. We should all look after our hearts.”
