evening and things would start to improve on Thursday and Friday.

National Weather Service, said a “tropical wave” passing through the region was
responsible for the rainfall.
The record 24-hour total for rainfall is more than nine
Today’s totals were not expected to reach anything like that
level. By 3.30pm 23.2 millimetres, just less than one inch of rain had fallen,
said Mr. Porter.
