Warning: A murder most foul will be committed next Saturday night, Sept. 7. There will be untold potential suspects, each with his or her particular motives, but only one is guilty. Can you unravel the mystery?
A group of volunteers committed to raising money to help unwanted dogs and puppies find homes and get the care they need is organizing a Caribbean-themed Murder Mystery Night at Rackams bar and grill on the waterfront in George Town, starting at 6 p.m.
Up to 80 people can take part in the night, but it is imperative to sign up well in advance, organizers say, so that they can send out details of each person’s part in the mystery, and allow participants time to get a costume together and get into character.
Only the organizer knows who the victim will be and who the murderer is. Each person is assigned a character and given certain information they must divulge when questioned. Over the course of the evening, participants talk with one another while putting their sleuthing skills to the test and working out whodunit.
The fee is $30 per person, which includes taking part in the game, as well as food. Proceeds will go to One Dog at a Time, the group which aims to find foster homes and forever homes for the many homeless dogs on island.
Tickets must be purchased by Saturday, Aug. 31, so that character information can be emailed in advance. Tickets are available from Rackams and Cayman Animal Hospital, or call 926-7506.
