10s aces focused on Bodden Town

The next Cayman National Tennis 10s event is at Bodden Town Primary School next weekend.

Hosted by Noel Watkins of Cayman Tennis Academy, the session is open to children aged 10 and under on Saturday, Sept. 21.

All abilities are welcome. This fun event introduces children to more structured tennis and helps develop their skills by playing games.

The event is free and equipment will be provided. All is needed is a hat, water and raw energy. Age group 7 years and under play from 3 to 4 p.m. Age group 7-10 years play from 4 to 5 p.m. For more information, ring Noel on 547-6257. Volunteers are always welcome to help out.

There are plenty of tennis opportunities that weekend for kids because the last open PwC Junior Circuit event of the year is at the Courts at the Ritz-Carlton on Saturday and Sunday Sept. 21-22. The event starts at 10 a.m. Saturday. This is the last chance to earn rankings points before the final event in November. Only the top eight players in each age group are invited to the finals.
