Dart drop their sixth straight on the diamond

Team Dart are on an epic losing streak.

After winning its first five games, Dart has lost its last six games in the 2013 Fall Adult Coed Softball League, put on by the Cayman Islands Little League Association. Dart is now 5-6, which is still good enough for second place in the C League. Their latest defeat came on Tuesday night to Saxon G-Force, 15-9. Saxon remains locked into third place at 4-6-1, while Fluff and Fold Home Gas Misfits are in the cellar.

Tim Sullivan kept Dart in the game most of the way with sharp pitching and useful hitting. He had help on both sides of the ball from top players Jerome Tivey, Krystle Barrett and Dwyane Lee. G-Force responded with inspired hitting from Jim Beisel, Johann Taylor and Casey Goff. This reporter had footwear issues, that led to falls instead of being on the ball, but managed to produce a single and yeoman’s work at first base.
