George Town still clear of champs BT

George Town remains top of the Premier League after another convincing win, this time a 4-1 victory over North Side.

GT skipper Ian Lindo opened the scoring in the 15th minute. Tex Whitelocke, Kevin Moore and Raheem Robinson got the others. Dwayne Wilson hit North Side’s consolation goal.

Jamaal Seymour popped up five minutes from time to give Cayman Athletic a 1-0 win over Academy in the other match at the TE McField Annex on Sunday.

Athletic and Academy are the two youngest sides in the league and fighting against relegation. This was an absorbing clash with plenty of goal mouth action despite the lack of goals.

At the Ed Bush stadium in West Bay, Sunset drew 0-0 with Elite in the early game, and reigning league champs Bodden Town beat Scholars International 2-0 through two strikes by Ricoh Brown to maintain their challenge on GT.

The 5 p.m. match at the TE McField Annex on Sunday is between Cayman Athletic and Elite, and the 7 p.m. game pits George Town against Academy.

North Side plays host to Scholars on their home pitch at 7 p.m. Bodden Town competes in Puerto Rico this weekend in the Caribbean Football Union Club Championship.
