A team from the George Town Yacht Club emerged victorious at Saturday’s Chili Cook-Off at the Cayman Islands Brewery.
The winning team will go on to compete for Cayman at the Chili Finals in the U.S. later this year. Matthew Leslie, a spokesman for the brewery, said the brewery was very impressed with the attendance and is already looking forward to next year’s event.
“This was a real showcase and we learned a few things that we will improve on next year as we can only make this event bigger and better over time,” he said.
Hundreds turned out to sample competing culinary creations at the event, where prizes were handed out for best booth, people’s choice and a raffle.
