West Indies opener Chris Gayle is being rested from the two Twenty20 internationals against New Zealand in Dominica this weekend.
There are doubts over his fitness, having had a lingering back injury recently.
Dominican fans will not see allrounder Dwayne Bravo either. He has a shoulder injury sustained in the Indian Premier League three months ago.
At least, they will see at Windor Park, Roseau, on Saturday and Sunday allrounder Kieron Pollard, who has not played internationals for a year due to a knee injury but played domestically recently in a comeback.
Bowling allrounder Christopher Barnwell and batsman Darren Bravo are new additions in the 13-man squad.
The dropped players who went to Bangladesh for the 2014 World T20 are allrounder Marlon Samuels, fast bowler Ravi Rampaul and opener Johnson Charles.
Samuels scored only 86 runs in five innings at the World T20 and was also dropped from West Indies’ Test squad after scoring only 2 against New Zealand in Jamaica.
Andre Russell retains his place but must be aware he needs some big scores to stay in the squad.
