Power restored after vehicle accident

About 50 residents in West Bay lost power for part of the day Tuesday, starting about 10 a.m. after a government vehicle crashed into a power pole.

The power outage was the result of the vehicle hitting and breaking a pole with a transformer that feeds several areas in the Shores, West Bay.

Caribbean Utilities Company corporate communications manager Pat Bynoe-Clarke said the first set of customers had power restored by 1:20 p.m.

“The remaining customers were reconnected at 2:17 p.m.” Ms. Bynoe-Clarke said.
