Representatives from the Department of Labour and Pensions and the National Workforce Development Agency will be in the Sister Islands on Monday and Tuesday to address any issues that employers, employees or job seekers may have.
Appointments can be made by calling 948-0626 for both Cayman Brac and Little Cayman, and walk-ins are welcomed, according to a government press release.
On Little Cayman, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Monday, July 21, at the Grouper Conference Room at the Little Cayman Beach Resort, representatives from the DLP will be available to speak with employers and employees individually or in groups to answer any questions or provide clarification or guidance on the labor and pensions laws.
Also on Little Cayman, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., representatives from the Department of Labour and Pension will be conducting site visits and providing information on the labor and pensions laws (including gratuities distribution and occupational health and safety) to employers and employees.
On Cayman Brac, on Monday, July 21, and Tuesday, July 22, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Department of Labour and Pensions office at 256 Creek Road, representatives from DLP and the NWDA will be on hand to meet with employers and employees, assist job seekers and employers to register online and help job seekers complete the intake process. They will also be conducting site visits.
Also on Monday night, from 6-8 p.m., a public information session will be held at the Conference Room at the Brac Reef Beach Resort. All Sister Islands employer and employee representatives are invited to this public information session, where information will be provided on labor and pension matters, as well as NWDA services and programs. Refreshments will be served.
