Andy Murray is about to confirm that Amelie Mauresmo is his new coach.
Murray crashed out of Wimbledon last month in the quarterfinals and is desperate to find a coach to steer him back to the top. Mauresmo, 34, is a former world No. 1 who also won the Australian Open during her career.
Murray has been working with the French former Wimbledon champion and hopes to climb up the world rankings again having dropped to tenth from a career high No. 3.
They held talks after Murray, 27, was beaten at Wimbledon by Grigor Dimitrov. She has been advising him at Murray’s training camp in Miami.
Murray has been without a coach since splitting from Ivan Lendl in March after the pair worked together for two years in which the Scot won Olympic gold, the 2012 US Open and last year’s Wimbledon.
