Cayman Islands lost to Guadeloupe 0-3 in its opening Group One match of the Caribbean Football Union Under-17 World Cup Qualification in Jamaica on Saturday.
The match was at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex in Trench Town, Kingston, and came before Jamaica’s 19-0 annihilation of the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Guadeloupe’s scorers came from Hendrix Hebreu, Sylguy Fumont and a Benjamin Laurent penalty at the end.
Jamaica’s top scorer was Donovan Dawkins, who netted seven times. Jamaica’s Justin McMaster scored four and Alex Marshall hit a hat-trick. There were three other Jamican scorers.
Cayman Islands face Jamaica on Monday and Guadeloupe play U.S. Virgin Islands.
