Earthquake felt in Cayman

A 5.1 magnitude earthquake was felt in Grand Cayman early Wednesday morning.

There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries from the short tremor.

According to the United States Geological Survey, which monitors seismic activity, the earthquake occurred 21 miles south of George Town, at a depth of 6.2 miles, shortly after 5 a.m. local time.
