A man shot in West Bay on Sunday night has died, police have reported.
The shooting occurred around 8:30 p.m. off Miss Daisy Lane in the Logwoods area.
The victim was taken to the Cayman Islands Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police have not released the identity of the victim.
Detective Chief Inspector Claudia Brady said in an emailed statement that police had launched a murder investigation into the death.
“The circumstances of the attack is still being investigated, however the RCIPS is following a direct line of enquiry and is requesting that anyone who was in the area at the time of the shooting, or has any information in urged to contact West Bay Police Station, the RCIPS tip-line at 949-7777 or Crime Stoppers at 800-8477 (TIPS),” she said.
