Local dominoes is getting ready for another campaign.
The Cayman Islands Domino Association will start its 2014-2015 national league on Oct. 12. All interested clubs should register no later than Sept. 25 at Mango Tree at 7:30 p.m.
The sport is currently dominated by local dynasty East End Mystical Youth. East End won the playoff segment of the association’s 2013-2014 competition. Mystical Youth ended up in first place after beating Island All Stars by 11 points in the postseason finale this summer at Pirates Cove Bar. All Stars finished second, with Archies taking third and the Singh’s Roti Shop team in fourth place. The squads were presented with trophies and medals after the postseason ended.
Mystical Youth were also the league winners for the fourth straight year. It was a dominant showing for the East End crew, who lost only two matches all season behind the likes of Fred McLaughlin.
