Youth netball will get a boost this month.
The Cayman Islands Netball Association is staging the 2014 edition of its Turtle Netters youth development program this month. The first session is slated for this Saturday from 8-9 a.m. at the Truman Bodden Sports Complex netball courts. The initiative is aimed at girls ages 5-11 and the focus will be on teaching netball skills such as ball handling, shooting and positioning.
The program is being put on to coincide with the new netball season. The primary and high school leagues are under way this month and run until around February and December, respectively.
