Students benefit from leadership workshop

Fifty teens, including five from Cayman Brac, took part in a leadership and team-building workshop hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Grand Cayman.

The leadership training was facilitated by six former Key Leaders at the St. Ignatius campus during the club’s seventh annual Key Leader forum Oct. 17-19.

The Kiwanis Club recruited Greg Long from the United States to be the lead facilitator representing Kiwanis International. Assisting Mr. Long as site coordinator was local Kiwanian Kadi Merren-Pentney.

“This is my fourth year assisting with the Key Leader event,” Ms. Merren-Pentney said in a press release. “Every year, I walk away with a new understanding of the leadership potential in all of these students. It’s amazing to see their growth from when they arrive on Friday to when they leave on Sunday.”
