Breakfast funds raised through Christmas car kits

It’s that time of year again when cars sporting reindeer antlers, Rudolph-like red noses or candy canes become a common sight on the roads and roundabouts of the Cayman Islands.

The Kiwanis Service Club of Grand Cayman has been selling Christmas car kits for eight years, raising money to ensure children get a hearty breakfast.

“We are amazed the campaign has lasted this long from the original idea to just try it out for fun,” said Kiwanis member Mary McCallum.

All proceeds go the Kiwanis Club of Grand Cayman Breakfast Program, which supports George Town Primary, Prospect Primary, Savannah Primary, Red Bay Primary, North Side Primary, East End Primary, and the Lighthouse School, Ms. McCallum said.

A new stock of the Kiwanis car kits are available at Arch Automotive for $20 each.
