Future gets $500

Future Sports Club has again received a $500 donation from its player Cachas “Super C” Stewart who is also a deejay on radio station HOT104.1 FM.

Veteran midfielder Stewart gave part of the proceeds from a reggae concert he organized last month.

He celebrated 27 years as a deejay by bringing over Jamaican artists Little Hero and Merciless to perform at Mango Tree.

Under coach Roy “Huta” Ebanks Future’s excellent youth program has produced some of Cayman’s best youngsters in recent years.

One of them is striker Leighton Thomas Jr. who was top scorer at last year’s inaugural CONCACAF Under-15 tournament here with 11 goals.

Over 700 people attended the Mango Tree show and Stewart handed over the check to Future’s Sarah Orrett.

“I just want to say thanks for the support over the years and to all the sponsors who came on board,” Stewart said. “The next big show will be for Valentine’s Day at the Mango Tree again, on Feb. 13.”
