Year-end roundup with Bona Fide

Bona Fide is a regular on the Cayman music circuit, with performances delighting locals and visitors to the island throughout the years. As 2014 was another successful 12 months for the act, Weekender caught up with vocalist Isadora Ferrao to get the full story.

What was your favorite gig you played in 2014 and why?

The C.A.R.E. (Cayman Animal Rescue Enthusiasts) Paws for Wine event. Not only was there such an awesome atmosphere and wonderful people, but the cause to do our part to look after God’s creatures and give them a voice is very worthwhile.

What was the worst moment in 2014 and why?

Hmmm, can’t think of anything that is so bad that it could be described as worst.

What was your highlight of 2014 and why?

Playing Christmas music the last few weeks. What else makes you feel warm and fuzzy?

Which other bands/acts impressed you in 2014 and why?

Funk Republic because they have an awesome horn section.

What do you have lined up for 2015?

Lots and lots of weddings in between our normal public performances.

Any message to Cayman/your fans?

Please keep supporting live music where you can. We love our fans who visit these beautiful islands and always take time to ensure they catch one or more of our performances. We wish you all a blessed Christmas and a happy and prosperous New Year.
