By Rite splash out for timely Prison clampdown

In a match reduced to 24 overs, By Rite limited Prison to 151 through a sustained bowling attack led by Omar Bryan’s 3 wickets for 24 runs.

Kervin Ebanks scored 51 for Prison. By Rite easily knocked off the Prison attack with Adrian Wright hitting 53 in a composed inning.

While By Rite played, the showers came down at Smith Road Oval and prevented Greenies from challenging By Rite as their match against SOL Tigers was washed out.

In Division 2, Paramount traveled to Cayman Brac for the first match of the season there and put on a master class of controlled pressure.

Cayman Brac were limited to 86 runs as Donald Carter continued his bowling exploits, taking 5 wickets. Paramount won by 6 wickets. Veterans Pearson Best 77 not out and Franklin Hinds 61 combined to hand Greenies Too their first defeat of the season.

Greenies Too were on track for another victory having posted 220 – Ryan Bovell hit 71 and Matthew Walker scored 47 – but there was no stopping the JJ’S stalwarts gaining a comprehensive victory by 8 wickets.

Chillies went under to the might of Sol Cubs by a wide margin of 103 runs.

Sol Tigers posted 231 on the backs of excellent contributions from Ricardo Roach 64, Ramon Sealy 58 and Bruce Jalim 45. Wayne Cato, with 3 wickets was the pick of the Sol Cubs bowlers in their victory.

In the women’s league, Jada Morgan led the charge for Islanders to victory over Greenies by taking 4 wickets. She was assisted by her mom Tameka Morgan with 2 wickets. Kemore Minott hit 26 in batting well to complete the victory by 6 wickets.


Ricardo Roach scored 64.
