Emergency services at Owen Roberts International Airport went into standby mode, one step down from a full emergency, after a private jet told traffic control it was having problems with an indicator.
Police blocked the road at the end of the runway as the Learjet 40 came in for a landing just before 1:30 p.m. The plane landed without incident at 1:31 p.m.
An Airport Authority spokeswoman said the plane intended to land in Grand Cayman, but did not immediately know where it had taken off from.
