Workshop set for micro and small businesses

Micro and small businesses are invited to a free workshop, “Financing Options for Micro and Small Businesses,” at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Chamber of Commerce in Governors Square.

Tracy Ebanks, general manager of the Cayman Islands Development Bank, and Steven Burrows, lending manager, Commercial Clients for Butterfield Bank, will deliver presentations about funding sources that are available locally for micro and small businesses.

Ms. Ebanks will provide details of the small business loans program that has been established by the CIDB to assist SMEs and the eligibility requirements to apply.

Mr. Burrows will discuss the lending procedures required by Butterfield Bank for micro and small businesses. There will be a question-and-answer period following the presentation, and light refreshments and snacks will be available.

This is the third free SME workshop in a series organized by the Cayman Islands Chamber of Commerce under contract with the Ministry of Financial Services, Commerce and Environment.
