Bringing the North Side community together, the district’s primary students delivered crowd-pleasing performances at the Edna M. Moyle Primary Christmas Program on Dec. 14.
Parents, friends and extended family members were treated to an evening of instrumental music, songs and a play.
Students in Years 3-6 impressed with performances of favorite Christmas carols on recorders, clarinets, saxophone, flutes and violins. Audience members reported the Reception and Year 1 students were delightful as they animatedly sang “Twinkling Stars” and “Did you see the Baby?” complete with actions.
All students in Years 2-6 were involved with the musical production that followed, “Star of Wonder,” a lighthearted and comical presentation featuring songs and witty dialogue. Bright luminaries, including Superstar, Shooting Star, Lucky Star, Falling Star, Rock Star, the North Star, along with a constellation full of stars (the choir), took the audience through the announcement of Jesus’s birth, charming the crowd and providing a fitting celebration of the season.
