UPDATE: Police confirmed Thursday morning that two men were involved in the robbery and both were armed with handguns.
Police are investigating a robbery at Island Jewellers in Camana Bay which occurred shortly before its 9 p.m. closing time on Wednesday night.
The area outside the store was cordoned off by police tape late into the night as scene of crime officers took fingerprints and police interviewed the store’s staff.
According to Dart representatives at the scene shortly after the incident, no customers were in the store at the time of the robbery and no one was injured.
It was unclear from initial reports if the robbers were armed.
The police helicopter hovered over Camana Bay after the robbery, and Emergency Medical Services and police cars were also at the scene.
