The Red Cross mobile shop will be in East End on Saturday from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. near the Pirates’ Cove Bar. Items for sale include shoes, clothing, linens, and household goods.
On Monday, the students at Edna M. Moyle Primary School in North Side will take part in the Rock Your Socks fundraising campaign for World Down Syndrome Day.
The Clifton Hunter High School Year 10 parents’ consultation will take place on Wednesday, March 23, from 5-7 p.m.
Also on Wednesday, the 2016 Festival of Easter Glory, an Easter cantata performed by the First Baptist Church, is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the North Side Civic Centre. All are welcome.
On Thursday, North Side Primary will hold a special Easter assembly and picnic, along with an Easter egg hunt.
Also on Thursday, the East End Primary PTA is organizing an Easter egg hunt at the school.
The Festival of Easter Glory continues on Good Friday, March 25, at 7 p.m. at the East End United Church.
North Side Wesleyan Holiness Church, along with numerous other churches in the district, will hold Good Friday services.
It’s a great time of year to visit the Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park. However, guests are asked to note that the park will be closed on Good Friday.
