Whether it’s at Christmas time, on birthdays or anniversaries, or just regular Sundays, Cayman residents like to brunch. And why wouldn’t they, with such a variety of brunching options to choose from island-wide? The Easter weekend provides yet another opportunity for breaking bread with family or friends, and here are some choices of venues.

The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman

Seven restaurant is hosting an English Garden Brunch from 12:30-3:30 p.m. Sunday, with breakfast favorites, seafood and carving stations, raw bars, paella, desserts and free-flowing bubbles. Cost is $150 per adult, with Champagne, and $109 without Champagne; $45 for children ages 6-12; $25 for children ages 3-5.

In the ballroom, the movie “Hop” will be playing, and the Easter Bunny will attend, offering entertainment for the children. An Easter egg hunt will take place on the Great Lawn, and there will also be a full buffet brunch for adults and children. Anchor & Den, Marriott Grand Cayman resort

Brunch on Easter Sunday runs from noon to 3 p.m., with breakfast stations, omelette stations, a sushi bar, raw bar, tapas, cold cuts and cheeses, a carving station and creperie, with bottomless De Chanceny’s Cremant de Loire. Cost is $90 for adults and $45 for children. An Easter egg hunt at 2 p.m. and an appearance by the Easter Bunny round out the entertained. Call 949-0088 for reservations.

Ferdinand’s, Westin Grand Cayman resort

Easter Brunch will be from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., featuring Marquis de la Tour sparkling wine and a Margarita Bar.

The food selection includes a salad bar, pasta and mac and cheese bar, charcuterie and artisanal cheese, dim sum, seafood and sushi, carving station, breakfast station and eggs, soups, desserts, and mains including bacon-wrapped pork loin, Cayman-style mahi mahi and jerk chicken.

Inside and outdoor seating is available at the venue, which is steps from the beach. Brunch costs $82 for adults, and $30 for children under 12. Call 945-3800 for reservations.


Brunch includes a cold buffet with oysters, ceviche, seafood salad, sushi, salmon, lobster, tapenade, baba ganoush and hummus. The carving station serves beef Wellington, jerk turkey, roasted lamb leg, ham and snapper, and the main courses include seafood curry, eggplant parmigiana and chicken portobello. Eggs “a la minute” are also served to the table, with various styles to choose from.

Buffet brunch runs from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Free-flowing Prosecco accompanies pasta, carving stations, sushi and salad bars. In addition, there are chef stations. Indoor seating is available, and outdoor seating offers grand views of the sea.

Blue Cilantro

Brunch runs from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m., with unlimited Prosecco until 2:30 p.m. The regular a la carte brunch menu will be offered, including omelettes, pancakes, eggs Benedict, oysters, quiche, dim sum, pork ribs and pasts, as well as extra offerings such as prime rib and glazed ham.

The cost is $62 with bubbles, $48 without. For children under 12, the price is $38. Call 945-4372 for reservations.


This restaurant in East End, with Australian-fusion style, offers a brunch that will include barbecue, sushi, carvery stations, breakfast courses, soups, a hot buffet and desserts. There are two sittings, 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., with beach, balcony or inside seating available. Cost is $33.50 for adults, $16.50 for children 5–12; free for children 4 and under. For an extra $19.95 guests can enjoy two hours of bubbles. Call 947-2700 for reservations.

The Lighthouse

Brunch offers a raw bar, salad bar, main courses of bacon and penne sausage, penne shrimp in tomato cream sauce, farfalle with Italian sausage, beef lasagna, chicken stir-fry, grilled mahi mahi or barbecue pork ribs, vegetarian options and a carving station. Dessert offerings include assorted mousses, Linzer cake, caramel flan and pineapple upside-down cake.
