If you haven’t signed up for One Dog at a Time’s fundraiser, now is the time to do it.

The animal welfare organization is hosting one of its most popular events, the Stingray boat trip, on June 19.

Guests will taken on a trip to one of Cayman’s most popular attractions, aboard the Allura catamaran. The trip includes snorkeling alongside the reef and a stop at Starfish Point.

The boat will leave at 1 p.m. from The Yacht Club, Dock C.

Tickets, $35, include nibbles provided by the charity’s volunteers. Beverages, including beers, rum punch and soft drinks, will also be available for purchase.

All money raised goes toward rescuing and re-homing animals from the Department of Agriculture, which would otherwise be euthanized. It costs the charitable organization $100 to rescue a dog from the pound and an additional $50 to cover the cost of the animal’s checkup and vaccination needs.

So far this year the group has rescued more than 27 dogs, and more than 20 of them have been placed in homes on island or through the charity’s rescue partners in New York and Toronto.
