The Cayman Drama Society is excited to take you on a “Breeze Through Broadway” and a whirl around the West End. For three nights only, familiar faces – along with some emerging local stars – will take you on a musical journey of old favorites and new. If you missed out on any of the recent sell-out shows or would just love to see some of those unforgettable performances again, now is your chance … but book early to avoid disappointment.

Local stars

Hear Jardel McIntosh re-create the haunting “Close Every Door” from “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.” Listen to Sophie Gough and David Verhoeven take you back to “Rent” and enjoy the stunning voices of Dominic Wheaton, Arek Nicholson and many others.

Newbies and classics

Everyone loves classic tunes, so the show will incorporate numbers from such well-known musicals as “Carousel,” “Les Miserables” and “Annie Get Your Gun.” That being said, there are some brilliant shows making waves across Broadway such as “Hamilton,” “The Book of Mormon” and “Waitress,” so songs from these modern musicals will be included as well.

Cast and crew

The show is directed by Beverly Edgington and produced by Andrew Edgington, who were behind the recent CDS blockbuster production of “Joseph.”

Beverly Edgington says, “After seeing the phenomenal response over the last few years to all CDS musical productions, we wanted the opportunity to further showcase the incredible local talent we have on the island.

“We have a small cast varying in age and vocal range, but each member brings something very special to the stage and we can guarantee you a night nothing short of what you would expect on Broadway or the West End.”

Tickets are $20 and proceeds will go toward the Educational Fund that the Cayman Drama Society has created so that a local young person may pursue their dream of a tertiary education in the performing arts.

Don’t miss this night where voices will shine!
