Six people hospitalized, released in three-car crash

Six people, including three children, were hospitalized early Tuesday after a three-vehicle crash on South Sound Road during the morning rush-hour.

All six patients taken to hospital were treated and released.

The crash blocked South Sound Road for about 45 minutes during the morning commute.

The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service reports that a Toyota truck, a Kia sport utility vehicle and a BMW collided near the entrance to The Chimes condominiums around 7:30 a.m.

Police said the accident occurred as the Toyota was pulling out of the condo’s parking lot, but officers did not immediately state who was to blame in the crash.

All six patients taken to hospital early Tuesday were treated and released. The crash blocked South Sound Road for about 45 minutes during the morning commute.

The RCIPS asks anyone with information about the crash to call the police Traffic Unit at 649-6254.
