Isaac Rankine announces East End campaign

Isaac Douglas Rankine announced his run as an independent candidate for East End with a Saturday meet and greet.

Mr. Rankine’s campaign reported a crowd of 200 at the Seaview Drive event, where the candidate described a two-and-a-half-year journey toward the Legislative Assembly run.

“As an independent candidate, I am prepared to work on your behalf with the democratically elected government to ensure that East End is no longer perceived to be the district that is left behind,” he said in a public statement.

Mr. Rankine said he will be planning “small yard meetings” leading up to the May 24 election to speak with community members.
