The Poinciana Arts Festival has returned, promising artistic and cultural events for all.
The cocktail reception held earlier this week at Arts Nest in Pasadora Place gave guests the opportunity to view the Poinciana Art Nominations. More than 40 works of local art were submitted to the festival.
If you haven’t attended already, there’s still time to catch some of the movies at the film festival. Local and international films are being screened at Regal Cinema in Camana Bay. During this time period, Regal Cinemas will also host Poinciana panel discussions with a selection of local filmmakers, musicians and artists. The Film Festival tickets are $10 and grant unlimited access to the films and panels across the four days.
The festival will culminate in the Poinciana Awards Ceremony at the Harquail Theatre. The best works of Poinciana 2017 will be awarded on this night. Tickets are $50.
Poinciana 2017 will also be showcasing the works of Cayman’s students. Over 30 works of art were submitted by children between the ages of 13 and 17 from various schools. The Poinciana Awards ceremony will also acknowledge the best of the student artwork.
