Update: A female visitor who police said was struck by a taxi van Monday morning at Owen Roberts International Airport was seriously injured in the auto-pedestrian crash.
An accident involving a pedestrian and a taxi led police to block a road leading into Grand Cayman’s Owen Roberts International Airport Monday morning.
The road reopened around 2:30 p.m. Monday.
Initial story: According to the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service, the female pedestrian was struck by a taxi and was taken to the Cayman Islands Hospital with serious injuries.
