In the early game on Wednesday, April 11, KPMG won in exciting fashion against DART-B in two sets, 25-20 and 25-19.
On offense was Cindy Reid and Davison Ruwende of KPMG, which registered the most kills. Jeff Wight scored several kills in a losing effort to keep DART-B in contention. While this game was close, KPMG always seemed to have the game within their control.
With their win, KPMG advances and will now face Silver Wheaton in the semifinals, which will be played on April 16. Silver Wheaton defeated KPMG when these teams met in the regular season.
On the next court, CNB won in dramatic fashion in a hotly contested game against PWC in three sets. After losing the first set 19-25, they won the second and third sets 25-22 and 16-14. The final set featured numerous lead changes.
Eric Webster again led the attack for CNB, with John Lewis adding to the assault, while Woodley Scott set both players for kills and lead CNB on defense.
For PWC, it was a solid game that came up just short.
Amos Benji and John Klein both played well for PWC in a losing effort, with big attacks and blocks. With the loss, PWC will now play DART-B for 5th place.
CNB advances and will play defending champions MaplesFS (MFS) in the semifinals.
CNB narrowly defeated MFS when these teams met in the regular season.
In the late game, CITCO surprised DART-A by winning in three sets, 25-16, 16-25, 15-5.
Maples and Calder put up a tough fight, however Deloitte still won 25-22, 12-25, 15-13.
CITCO will play Deloitte for 7th place and DART-A will play Maples and Calder for 9th as the league wraps up.
