IMAC Educational Scholarship Fund receives donations

Orbis/Performa Ltd. donated $5,000 to the Insurance Managers Association of Cayman Educational Scholarship Fund. In addition, local vendors and golfers helped raise $6,000 for the fund on Oct. 5 at the North Sound Golf Club.

In a statement, IMAC thanked TRAC Automotive/EuroCar, which sponsored a hole-in-one contest, Chef Lloyd and the staff of the North Sound Golf Club, as well as Kirk, Calypso Grill, Fosters, LUCA, The Ritz-Carlton, Bacaro, the Wharf, the Kimpton Seafire, Grand Old House, Signs of Paradise and the Tasting Room for their support.

The educational scholarship fund was formed in 1994 to assist with the post-high school education of young Caymanians. It has raised more than $3.9 million and is currently providing funding for 20 students to pursue overseas college educations. The fund so far has sent 48 students to complete post-secondary education.
